Boy's afternoon out

Aaron and I had a lovely time with our friend Enno Roosink at a cozy harbor-side cafe north of Amsterdam. Lovely in that Aaron slept through most of it.

We took city bikes from the apartment to just behind Amsterdam Central Station, where there is a ferry that takes you across the IJ (pronounced "eye"). On the other side is a lovely cafe called Wilhelmina Dok, named after the previous Queen of The Netherlands, mother to the current Queen Beatrix.

Once Aaron woke up, he enjoyed watching the transport boats pass by, as close as 100 feet. "Boat" is one of his new words...
